<p dir="auto">Didn't sound like a piece of classical music to me, I guess I would have heard it before, like all the other classical pieces of the film. This piece with big drums seems to be part of the score composed for the film.<br />

Or are you mistaking it for Flash Gordon (1940), in which I am positive they used it.</p>

<p dir="auto">I was trying to identify it too.  Several of the suspense and triumph themes are from Liszt's<br />
Les Preludes<br />
, which is a tip of the hat to the Lone Ranger, but I think one of the closing themes was Tchaikovski; I'll listen again &amp; see if I can ID it.<br />
