There is a scene where Tampopo, Goro and Tampopo's son are in Tampopo's home kitchen and the little boy is eating this food I had once. I can't remember what it is called or what the recipe was. It's like a shredded spicy beef that you wrap up in a piece of leaf lettuce [?] and eat. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I think two scenes are being mixed up here Goro, Gun & the kid eat rice wrapped in nori (as well as pickles, dried fish, natto, miso soup) in Tampopo's kitchen. Later, Goro & Tampopo eat beef wrapped in lettuce at the yakiniku restaurant.

The food ur talking about is called Yakiniku korean grilled beef. That is what Goro and Tampopo are eating in the restaurant when they have the talk about their exes.
