I am a superhero through and through
I was a kid who loved heroes. I was picked on for reading comics in the 90's. I find a lot of "comic fans" or people who love comic movies pretend like they have always been into comics.
Gizmoduck is a litmus test. I figure those who loved him, and was their favorite character, were real comic book fans.
Sort of like how the Ninja Turtles(The good one from the 80's) represented each of out personality traits.
Gizmoduck was my favorite and Fenton was relate able. He was a bean counter who was a geek and bad with the ladies, like SPidey. He was Superman, a nerd but put on his suit, he was a hero. He was good natured, loved and lived with his mama.
Anyhow, Glad Ducktales will be back in 2017, and cannot wait for Fenton to show up as he is my fav.

Yeah, Fenton Crackshell was one of the best characters next to Launchpad. Hamilton Camp really brought out his character.

I agree.
Gizmoduck gave Ducktales some real "hitting-power".
There was some plans to launch a show with Gizmoduck, Darkwing and a few other heroes in their own show calling it "Justice Ducks" (like Justice league)
Too bad they dropped that idea.

I did not know that. I hope the new show spurns tons of toys and hoping we finally get out true Gizmoduck. I hope they don't try to changer the design too much if they do.
I cross my fingers and hoping DIsney does and the show is good.

I hope so too. I think people relate to characters they either aspire to be, or who most represents them.
Fenton so loved his Ma..Ma and he's an innocent character, who works his tail off in the day, but Superduck at night.
I would've killed for a Gizmoduck action figure.killED!!!!
