<p dir="auto">Kirk was not the man to ponder or hypothesize overly on decisions when they needed to be made for the greater good.Picard 's hesitation to remove the Federation once and for all of the Borg (or at least set back the Borg enough for the Federation to arm itself against this new threat)cost the Federation dearly (see First Contact).</p>

<p dir="auto">Kirk would ask Spock and Mccoy to invent a nano virus to destroy the Borg,Mccoy would protest about the moral objections and Spock would counter this with logic (much like he did in the Balance Of Terror) and Kirk would decide the kill the Borg because they represent a immediate threat to the Federation and the galaxy problem solved.</p>
