Do they ever use any dialog from the book at all? It's been years since I've read it or watching this but I don't recall anything. The classic lines "people are afraid to merge" and disappear here billboard are not in this.
I remember an interview where Bret said not one scene from the book appears in the film and I thought he must have been exaggerating. People throw around the phrase "in-name-only" adaptation a lot, but I think this may actually 100% be the case with
Less Than Zero
. Anybody find anything at all used from book in this film?

The book was "too dark" to actually portray the real deal! That's why I'd love for them to remake it and follow it up with the sequel,
"Imperial Bedrooms"
which was completed in 2010 by Ellis!

The "Let's beep Christmas Together" party invitation was in the book. I think that's it. =P
Good call. I forgot about that. I can't think of any other scenes from the book that are in the movie.
