This was a great movie but not an accurate portrayal of the locale or its people. Narcotics use was not nothing but close to it and we children of privilege were held to higher standards and lived up to such standards.

Very true. Some of us are lucky and live through that phase, others aren't so lucky.

These types of crowds run around in every decade. I grew up in the 90s in the city and there was coke everywhere - clubs , parties etc.
