I always thought of it as a garlic necklace. First time I heard garlic t-shirt

I don't have any favourite lines as such. But there are a few things about this film that I really like:
Nadook the dog
The Poe reference with Edgar and Allan Frogg
The character called Max which I think may be a reference to Max Schreck
I watched this again today for the first time in years. It scared the hell out of me as a kid and I had a nightmare about it last night. So I wanted to check it out again to see if it was as bad as I remember and it wasn't. As an adult I thought it was more funny than scary. The beach scene after Michael's initiation had finished is still quite gruesome though.

David: You don't have to beat me Michael, you just have to try and keep up.
Edgar: Listen buddy, if you're looking for the diet frozen yogurt store, it went out of business last summer.
Sam: You need your sunglasses to talk on the phone? Are you freebasing? enquiring minds wanna know!
David: I think we should let Michael know what's going on.

Allen: How do you like Santa Carla so far?
Sam: It's a pretty cool place, if you're a martian.
Edgar: Or a vampire.
Michael (about Nanook): He was protecting you.
Max: Never invite a vampire into your house you silly boy. It renders you powerless.
David: My blood is in your veins.
Michael: So is mine!

^ Funny. Did you know the actor was from New York or did you just guess? Pretty good ear if you just assumed. It never occurred to me that he was saying it like a New Yorker.

Lol "SUCKA" you know what that means? He's from new york. Aka New yawk. My hometown. We all put an A at the end of most words with our accents.

"YOU MISSED SUCKA!" Surprised nobody has mentioned that one yet. Me and my sister have been quoting this line since we were kids. We thought the way he pronounced "sucker" was hilarious and would repeatedly rewind the scene to crack up about it.

I always liked the part at the end when Sam shouts "don't you touch my mother" and charges at Max. Protecting his mom no matter what. Very cool.
