Jason Patrick generally looked horrified.
It was heartbreaking to know that a young man like Michael just realised that he was ambushed by a vampire coven and that he was going to turn into one of them. He just looked helpless. It was like watching someone go through a life changing development they have no idea what is happening to them and they are far away from home and the safety of the people that love and care for.
That was such a emotionally powerful scene directed by Jerry.

Yeah, that was a very good scene. Jason Patric really sells the anguish that Michael is feeling.

The VHS home movie were pan & scanned where you'd miss half of the picture frame. They showed only the vampire to David's right side at 2:43 here. The look of hatred on his face for humans always stuck with me.

There have been better vampire movies, but this one appeals so much more to me because of the youth of the vampires and the black humor sprinkled throughout.
