What so I need to read about in history? I consider very well read and well educated, I don't think that by reading a tome on Watergate would make anymore interested in jfk or politics. I will say that the biggest farce in American politics is the fact the American people think the politicians are above being bribed or corrupted like happens in 3rd world countries. But I'll still stand behind my opinion that someone on clintons party should have made LewinskI dissappear..big mouthed tramp.

You should read up on history. Thinking like that got Nixon impeached. Watergate, anybody? Creep, the plumbers, and so on. I wouldn't be surprised if Nixon wasn't involved in the murder of JFK.

Don't think there is a book. The film was adapted from a 1948 movie named
The Big Clock
. The plot is the same, but the circumstances and background are different.

Never thought of him being a spy, that opens up alot of new questions. We don't really know enough about his background to make that assessment but maybe they do in the book?

After reading a lot of comments even though it doesn't say in the movie, but I feel Pritchard could be a spy. But I think the Russians made sure neither Farrell nor Pritchard knew that they were both working for the Russians. There are lots of plot questions that doesn't make sense unless Pritchard is also a Soviet spy. Then the whole movie makes sense.
