<p dir="auto">I'm just thinking given this movie will be 30 years old next year, there is so much of it that wouldn't be the case these days.</p>
<ol>
<li>They wouldn't be building a sub that big in the first place because we wouldn't be worried about the Russians. Maybe China or North Korea, but definitely not the old USSR.</li>
<li>Pretty much any data request done on a computer could be found in ten minutes by someone being paid $35K a year.</li>
<li>They would have had Susan Atwell's last known locations triangulated by satcom and traffic cam.</li>
<li>Tom's DNA? Not a problem. He'd be nailed for nailing her.</li>
<li>The two 'bookmarks' would have been far more subtle in getting to Nina if they needed to be.<br />
But look on the bright side: the background music would be so less annoying. I swear, that alone almost ruins the movie.<br />

<p dir="auto">They didn't have all the traffic cams in the 80's.<br />
What I found super implausible was them finding the one sailboat rental place in Annapolis that they rented the boat from.</p>
