<p dir="auto">When Del and Neal are driving on the access road leaving the airport, a plane takes off behind them. Was this a total coincidence, or was that timed right? The camera stops following the car to focus on the plane, so either it was planned or the cameraman was quick-thinking when he saw the opportunity present itself.</p>

<p dir="auto">In the mid 80s, STL was one of the busiest airports in the U.S so it's likely the camera man didn't have to wait long to get a shot of a TWA plane departing (as St. Louis was it's major hub).<br />
Sadly, STL now operates at about half of its capacity.</p>
