Even though most of the PA films came out before I existed I must say I did grow up watching and enjoying them.
This one with the first PA film is my favorite one obviously because of the return of Harris do not get me wrong Mauser was good but not as good as Cpt Harris, more to the point in the Citizens on Patrol one I have to agree with Harris recruiting/volunteering people who are not qualified to do police work was a dumb idea yes they may have helped towards the end, but I can see why Harris got annoyed when he said about no policemen's job or pay cheque would be safe. Lassard never really thought that one through properly I guess and I think unlike Mauser Harris did generally in the first film want to train some good hard working police officers even if his way was a little strict in some ways I think you can look at it that he wanted them to succeed.
Imagine if he ever got made to be Commandant of the academy I wonder what his plans would have been would he have kept Mahoney or anyone else there that he did not approve of

I wonder if he was just jealous that Lassard thought it up. If he did, he might not have cared. But this is sort of like a Neighborhood Watch thing, anyway.

Harris was the best. Better than Mauser any day. He was totally right about the citizens on patrol scheme. Citizens doing police work as an asinine idea. Only someone like Lassard could think it up. Neighborhood watch is one thing, but this was just ridiculous. Especially with people as old as Mrs. Feldman.
