You know how it is. After something or someone because too successful, it becomes a parody of itself. This movie doesnt have the same sincerity as the first few movies. Even Part 5 was better. This one was just stupid.

I just think it's hysterical that anyone would call a Police Academy movie "smug & pretentious."

Personally, I reckon Police Academy and Police Academy 4 are the best in the series.
