When Mariel (who looks better NOW than Margot looked in the first film) is flirting with him in this film and Margot constantly interrupts with the old lady smoker's voice, "he doesn't want you, honey" it makes for the best comedy in the film.</p>

<p dir="auto">I'm guessing it's because Margot Kidder smoked like Lois Lane in real life.  Also, we have to take for account her personal issues leading up to her infamous mental breakdown around 1996.</p>
