People often say Reeve was the only best thing and reason to watch this movie, don't get me wrong he is and always will be my alltime fav Superman, but the problem here was that not only his physical condition wasn't up to par, his hair was exactly the same from when he changed from Clark to Superman. It's almost as if the cast knew this movie was gona be so bad, that no one bothered to work for it.

Reeve was mostly beefed up in Superman 3, which makes the evil turn more effective.

Whats crazy is that how Mark Pillow (Nuclear Man) really bulked up for his role and not Reeve..

Maybe there was no need to beef up after being Superman for 3 films already.
It's that man again!!

Ye I'm not saying he was ridiculously slim, but he was definitely his slimest out of all the Sup movies. In the previous three he was alot more beefed up.

The video clip below has Reeve saying he trained for a couple of months to get into shape.

That's actually not true, Christopher Reeve changed his workout routine to include more cardio for a slimmer athletic build that he believed was more healthy than the bulkier weigh lifting build he had.
His new look would have been perfect for a reboot based on post-Crisis comics. (Instead we got a corny throw back anti-war 70s style story? After
The Dark Knight Knight Returns
and
Watchmen
that's embarrassing. They should have read up on the current comics revolution going on, lol. He was about the same age in this movie as Cavill was in
Man Of Steel
. They really missed the boat with this one.

The only physical attribute I noticed was he wasn't as muscular as he was in the original.
