I can say this for her, she wasn't stiff and self-conscious in this movie (See: The Next Best Thing and Swept Awayher acting got worse as she aged). In this she did a respectable jobmy question is WHY did they have act this way? She was at times kind of grating and annoying. It could have been done differently and I DO think Madonna could have handled it back then.
If you love someone, set them free. If they come back, nobody else wanted them either.

I love this movie as much as you do, but the fact is, Madonna CAN'T act, no matter in what movie. Her performance in WTG is as stiff as cement. But still I like the story of this movie and the 80's feel that's to it.

She was good in A League of Their Own, she is awful in this though.
Not sure if it is her or the script, but she certainly gives a horrible performance.

I agree with the OP! I like Madonna's acting in this one.

You think her acting in this is better than Evita, and Desperately seeking Susan ?. I think her acting in this is great, but i think her performances in those films were better.

Yeah, I think it was. Nikki was so weird though. The way she talked was so irritating, but she was a loveable character.
