This movie was very unfarily judged. The public was obviously not ready for a full-fledged slap-stick comedy. They weren't when the classic "Bringing Up Baby" was brough out either. "Who's That Girl" could easily be its companion piece. The acting and style of the film are in the vein of obserb comedy It should be judged on that level. Madonna's winning performance got unfortunately smoked out because of the genre style. The unique paring of Dunne works, the story is fun as all get out and the direction never misses a beat. Plus that soundtrack! To die for.
