Here is what I can remember of this film:
Man drowning people one by one. The people were queing up in a line in a river. Drowning them would be "setting them free" or something. These people followed this man, as if he was a leader or a God. I think a girl was dreaming this "drowning scene"
The girl who was dreaming this was in a hospital, her friend came to visit her. As her friend left and went into the elevator they waved goodbye to each other, a man pushing a kind of trolley (but bigger than average shopping trolleys) was covering half of the elevator. As the elevator doors began closing the man moved his trolley and the "hospital girl" saw the "drowning man" behind her friend in the elevator. In a panic the "hospital girl" ran down the stairs to find her friend and fell down some stairs and cut her head.
Also, only the "hospital girl" could see the "drowning man". Everyone else thought she was crazy. I think. I saw this film about 7 years ago so it is hard to remember more. I hope this is enough.
Is this film that I am thinking of Bad Dreams?

yup, thats it. I used to see this movie all the time on BHO. I basically caught it cause Jennifer Rubin was hot and it hadn Guns N Roses doing Sweet Child O' Mine on the soundtrack. In the movie they play it twice. Once in the film and over the final credits. Oddly there seem to be at least two different versions of this. Oh, Richard Lynch was super-creepy in this. For the life of me I can't remember the ending.
