I wouldn't even call this a movie. However, I'll be quick to call it garbage. I never could decide whether I actually liked Michael Keaton as an actor and I still can't, really. This movie certainly didn't help to win me over. And what's with that Kathy Baker chick? Yikes, no one will ever call her eye candy. The movie was just plain boring. I couldn't have cared less what happened to any of the characters. And when you don't care you're just wasting your time. I kept hoping Michael Myers would bust through the doors of the hospital and start slaying them all. Especially Morgan Freeman. A wise man he'd be no more.
P.S. Rest in Peace Michael Keaton's career.

So you were a junkie. Big deal, all that makes you is a weak human being, not an authority on other people's opinions.
Not necessarily weak- maybe just wired a little off. Addictions have a lot more to do with how your (you the addict, I mean) neuroreceptors in your brain function than how weak or strong a person is. Just felt the need to clarify that since it's a pretty common mistake people make, thinking addicts do what they do because they are "weak" or cant "show a little restraint".
That being said- I think this and My name is Bill W should be considered labors of love done just for addicts- because yeah- they'll never be huge box office hits. Though I dug this one- but then I'm an alcoholic so there you go.
Drunks is more alienating to the average person, I think. 28 days is more "hollywood" as is "When a Man Loves a Woman"- as far as substance abuse related movies go, I mean.
Only the dead stay seventeen forever.

So because I did not like this movie I am a troll? Make sense, tough guy. The movie was garbage and if I want to state that it was than that option to do so is entirely mine to make, despite the whining naysayers such as yourself. So you were a junkie. Big deal, all that makes you is a weak human being, not an authority on other people's opinions. Grow up. By the way, never was a roadhouse fan. You can keep swayze all to yourself.
You know, it's often said that the LAST thing you want to do is acknowledge a troll's presence by responding to their posts (because, of course, that's exactly what they're looking forvalidation.) I don't even want to DIGNIFY the above with a responseHOWEVER
your comments serve to show that you simply don't appreciate the level of depiction within C&S illustrating how all-consuming addiction is, my friend. As an addict myself, THIS was the flick that got me on the road to recovery (almost 14 years ago) and I thank my lucky stars I was fortunate enough to see how my own denial was mirrored in Keaton's terrific performance.
So, here's an idea: Upon realizing you're "wasting your time", why not stop the flick and pop something else in? (Something MORE to your liking. Brain-dead yahoo fare like, say, uh "Roadhouse" with Patrick Swayze)
