He is perfectly wicked, sexy, I also love his voice. He looked great in the finery of France. Apparently Michelle Pfeiffer was taken in by him. They fell in love during the making of this movie. Each had been married to others at the time the filming started, for 8 years Malkovich was married to sublime actress Glenn Headly. I don't recall who Michelle was married to at the time but her marriage was also 8 years old. The affair that Michelle and Malkovich had during the filming of this fantastic film finished the marriages of both. Yet, about a year or so later they marriedtwo completely different people and to my knowledge never renewed their infidelity. I believe they are still married to their respective mates.

Most woman find him very sexy in Dangerous Liasons and the Man with the Iron mask.
He seems quite charismatic and proves an ugly guy (lets face it) who knows how to carry himself with self confidence can seduce any woman.

For some weird reason that I can't quite pinpoint, YES, he was very sexy in this film.

Absolutely, as a matter of fact this movie gave me a crush on him for many years. Until I began to wonder, what?? or to paraphrase the devil (Al Pacino in The Devil's Advocate, explaining his sexual prowess to his son, "When I get through with them the women staggering away from the bed and look back and see me lying there and wonder, 'What the hell just happened???'" "It was me that happened!"). Yeah, I could see me looking at him on ocassion and wondering what the attraction is and then being draw back in, again and again Yeah, he could do me.He looks like a guy who knows what to do in bed. Goodlooking men don't necessary try but just coast on their looks. Not so good-looking guys try harder. Oh yeah, he could definitely do me.

I don't know. Going into it knowing Malkovich was playing the lead, I thought, really? But he's quite sexy in it and I was drawn to his performance.

The movie was great, no doubt! But Malkovich performance wasn't really convincing, something bothered me while I was watching but I wasn't quite sure till I found out; he was far from attractive, he was really irritating
And I definitely like the "bad boy" persona in movies, but not in this one

Oh good god, no - he ruined this movie for me. He actually turned my stomach in the love scenes, he was just creepy and gross. And he can't kiss! I am a great connoisseur of on screen kissers, and he is one of the worst I've ever seen. It was all slobbery and clumsy, like a teenager who doesn't know what he's doing.
And much as I usually love John Malkovich as an actor, I found his performance to be phoned in and wooden. There was no sizzle or passion in his Valmont, just a clinical and analytical deconstruction of the character without true understanding of what makes him tick.
Give me Colin Firth's Valmont any day. Yum.
