Hi, maybe one of you can explain one point to me:
Why does the Marquise offer herself as a reward to Valmont if he succeeds in seducing Michelle Pfeiffer's character? He says that he wants to do it anyway and then she says if he succeeds, she will sleep with him. What is the reason for her to do this? If she wouldn't have offered this he would have tried to do it anyway
