Gave a start to several late 80's/early 90's phenomenons including GNR Welcome to the Jungle with cameo appearances by Slash, Izzy and Duff, and Jim Carey in his first silver screen appearance who ODs in an ironic art imitates life segment that mirrored the real life passage of Hilel Slovak by overdose in June 1988 same month/year as the release and foreshadows a series of similar rock star opiate ODs during the same era. This is an older, wiser and gentler Harry Callahan and the flick shows a markedly softer and lighthearted dialog and delivery then its predecessors.
