<p dir="auto">A comedy written by the man who created Fawlty Towers and directed by the man who gave us The Lavender Hill Mob.<br />
I remember settling on Channel 4 when it was shown on Christmas Eve years ago-  first time I'd seen it, I was 12, but I laughed so much at the steam-roller scene, I had tears in my eyes.<br />
I love converting people who've never seen it.</p>

<p dir="auto">I have indeed seen it unedited, just gets better every time. Check out Fierce Creatures if you haven't seen it, and while no Wanda, it's underrated and contains some brilliant farce.</p>

<p dir="auto">I'm watching it right now on Starz. I hope you have seen it unedited. A  good sign of a great comedy is if it can stand the test of time, this movie is just as hilarious as  it was in 1988.</p>
