Funny how you can watch a film a hundred times and not notice something. In the opening, in Michael Palins house, there is a metal Eiffel Tower ornament on his window sill.
Exactly the same ornament that was the smuggling method for gold in the classic Lavandar Hill Mob (starring Alec Guinness). This film was directed by Charles Crichton, who also directed a Fish Called Wanda.
How many times have I watched the film and never noticed it!!!
