I don't recall any reaction from the animal rights' crowd, though I'm sure someone said something, but the film itself was well received. I'm just sorry I didn't see it in the theatre.

I recommend you buy the Koran version DVD, which has lots of extra's (including a "making of" featurette) and is available through eBay at only $3 and change!!! I bought one copy myself, just watched it and it's very good quality product.
