Today I got this email:
Bear and a Cougar - Awesome!
When the link below opened, I noticed that this was made in l988 and was nominated for an Oscar in the Nature category. I cannot imagine how the videographer got this AMAZING footage and soundtrack. It is edited and spliced to make you feel like you are THERE!
Just to clarify, the film is not a documentary, and it was nominated for an Oscar in Film Editing, not nature documentary. (I'm guessing the person read the caption wrong: "From the Oscar-nominated nature film 'The Bear.'")
It's really an amazing film, and uses all natural bear sounds, but again, it's actually a dramatic film with bears that were trained for their parts.
Just wanted to clear that up. Thanks.
