No, as soon as Ursula raised the axe and Leon cowered, as soon as I realized she wasn't carted off to prison for killing a human being, it was "understood" (by most) that she had merely chopped/destroyed the anatomical dummy, Pin.
And because Leon Pined for Pin so much (pun intended), he eventually dressed up like Pin and became Pin.
Remember at the beginning of the movie, those kids, some thought it was a dummy, others thought it was an old man who doesn't move?
Turns out both were wrong, it was a young man who "became" Pin, a non-moving anatomical dummy.

He knows this for sure because he's not retarded.

Well.. IF that were the case.. that would make Ursula way way SICKER than Leon EVER thought to be.. and.. I admit.. that's a great ending.. bu no. She CLEARLY killed the dummy..
unfortunately for Leon.. his mind was already gone.. and for the Pin personality with not outlet, as has been said before, it had ALREADY overwhelmed what little of Leon was left (much like the ending of Psycho where ma Bates took over Norman). The Pin personality had taken over and.. apparently pushed poor Leon out..
Always thought.. it was kind of a .. tragic ending.

I thought Ursuala kills Leon and just puts his face on Pin. Did I totoally misunderstand the ending? I'm gonna have to watch it again.

Maybe if they make a sequel, and he's released from an asylum or something. And maybe he has two personalities, like Norman Bates. Might make for an okay idea for a PIN 2 or something.
