<p dir="auto">Why do they make it seem like the Field Museum is this open, free place where you can go and hang out a) it's not like that b) people don't go there on lunch breaks or whatever just to hang out c) why don't they say Field Museum instead of "Natural History Museum"?<br />

<p dir="auto">There are actually a lot of people there, even during the week.  It is one of the most visited places in Chicago.<br />
BTW, that fountain is no longer there.  One of the only changes to the lobby since it opened in 1921.</p>

<p dir="auto">They didn't make it a place to hang out.  You're missing the whole point.<br />
Kevin Bacon and the girl met there because it was a safe place to meet. No one would be there.  The reason his wife met him there was because that was where she had her first association with a baby.  He panicked because he thought he was being confronted with meeting the model, having no idea of her assciation with the Field Museum.</p>
