Since it is revealed that Jan grew up to be an archtect. (see the scene where she and Phillip resolve their problems in the bedroom before Carol) When Mike became trapped in the cave incouldn't she have gone in to help out in the situation?

Jan must have been a lousy architect. Mike Brady was able to live in a large home, feed a wife and six kids plus pay a live in maid on an architect's salary. Jan and Phillip couldn't even afford their own apartment in "The Brady Girls Get Married / The Brady Brides".

Architects don't even do that. Structural engineers and civil engineers do.

Nooooo! She could have done the same thing why they called in Mike forto try to find any stress points in the building structure so they know where to dig and maybe help him get out.
But what the hey! it's a movie!

I don't think an architect would have helped there, but maybe if she were a paramedic
