What's the deal with that? Do you think they, like, crossed streams together and peed into the toilet at the same time? Or, Heaven forbid, what if one of them had a Code Brown Situation?
Oh yeah, and also, where the hell did they go pee, anyway? There may be a bathroom, but as we know from five seasons of the original show, there's no damn TOILET!

This is the scene where the mystery second bathroom suddenly appears. You never hear about it in the series but all of a sudden they now have a downstairs bathroom.
As for why it is explained in the movie. One of them is scared to go alone. They are kids, it's dark, they are in a house they are unfamilar with and it's late at night. I don't know about you but as a kid I didn't like walking around alone in a dark house.
Life moves pretty fast. If you dont stop & look around once in awhile you could miss it - Ferris

It's edited out from TV versions for time constraints I believe. If you have the DVD (which you can only get in the box set of the series) you see this scene.

But in this movie, a bathroom suddenly appeared behind the stairs near Mike's den. Perhaps they wised up and got a toilet to put in it?
