That pool is actually the Merewether Ocean Baths in Newcastle, NSW. Most of the movie is shot in and around the city of Newcastle, and the Hunter Valley (Cessnock, Wolombi etc.)
I used to go to the Merewether Baths back when I was in Year 7 and Year 8 for school sport.

I can't help you with that, But, It looks very familiar to me. I've never been to Australia nor Tasmania. The blue part that extends above the pool and has the clock mounted on it, looks very familiar. Could it have been in an Einstein photo before?
