Black troops wanted out of the rear areas. Pushing brooms and loading supplies etc. In WW2 and Korea they got a taste of it. In Vietnam they got the whole experience that poor whites had been getting loads of.and they raised Hell about it Screamed Discrimination.. They found out those medals Stripes Bars Oakleaves. Etc.
