I've been rewatching this loved classic lately, my favorite scene has always been at the beginning, when Shaw has returned home and comes down the stairs, and the haunting score begins followed by slow motion scenes. Does anyone know what the woman is whispering as she sees Shaw enter the room?

According to the subtitles on mine she says Dashing. She's speaking in slow motion so lip reading doesn't really work.

Thank you, my DVD doesn't have any subtitles. Those words don't quite match but I'm no lip reader so I could be wrong. I guess it's up to the viewer to decide what she says. Still an amazing scene, strange it is never mentioned on these boards.

According to the subtitle track, she whispers to the other woman, "So handsome."
