For me the worst makeup of the series was New Nightmare, just looked like rubber. The best was Freddy's Revenge as it really looked like burnt skin

David Miller did come back and he did want an older look for Freddy. The look carried over into the second season of FREDDY'S NIGHTMARES. FREDDY'S DEAD had a cheaper looking makeup.

On Freddy's Dead it looked like they stuck bubble gum on Robert Englund's face

Freddy's Dead easily had the worst Freddy makeup. I'm not a huge fan of his New Nightmare look but it wasn't bad makeup, it just wasn't Freddy. I more so hated his clothes in New Nightmare than anything else.

Pretty sure David Miller returned to do the make-up for part 5. Said he wanted to make Freddy look older.

Always though the makeup for Freddy in New Nightmare was the worst - it just looked obviously like a man wearing a mask , and especially in brightly lit scenes in that film like in the hospital, he just didn't have a frightening enough appearance

Yes this movie, his makeup was the worst.

I agree that this was one of the worst makeup jobs for Freddy. He looks far older in this than he does in both Freddy's Dead and Freddy vs. Jason!

Indeed. When Kevin Yaegher left, so did Freddy's face. Kevin is one of the best makeup artistsEVER!
If I'm not mistaken, I think he either produced, wrote or directed one of the Nightmares. I will research.

I agree, his makeup in this is god awful it makes him look completly cheap, and weak and not even the same actor..if u watch 1 to 3 and watch this movie you can swear its not the same Freddy at all.

his make up is awful in both elm street 5 and freddy's dead, looks more like a rubber mask and his head looks fatter. i think his best make up is elm street 4 and freddy vs jason, looks fleshier, more gruesome.

It looked to me like Freddy was becoming more and more human looking as the series went on. Like in part 6 there were times he just looked like Robert Englund with a few scares on his face.
The past doesn't exist and the future is only an illusion.

Part 2 had the best makeup with the bone-structure and skeleton-like look.
Part 5 and 6 looks like cheap halloween masks. DOn't understand why they made it les gory throughout the series. Weird.

I thought freddy in this flick looked like a little old man with orange skin. It made me wish they had got Kevin yagher back for the make-up in this one.

Your so right, he looks like a Goblin in this movie.
