Of the four Buckman siblings Helen is my favorite and easily the most well-adjusted. Gil is neurotic and worries about everything, Susan has to hide food in the closet to binge on when she has a problem with Nathan, and I'm not even going to mention Larry because I don't have that kind of time.

I liked Helen, too. She was up against some very tough challenges and handled them with and with love. Her kids were a bit messed up but that was more about their cruddy dad & not her. They were going to be okay in the end.
