<p dir="auto">I actually agree with you. I have seen the remake twice before but just watched this for the first time today. Although I almost always prefer the original, I must say this is one of the very rare cases where the remake is better. I think in the remake, more was going on with the story and characters so it was more interesting.</p>

<p dir="auto">Nope. Not watching both back-to-back for the first time. Maybe if you saw this one back in the 80s or 90s you'd be more partial to it, but otherwise it's hard to see how this one is "so much better."</p>
