SPOILER ALERT!!!
I've seen Sex, Lies and Videotape about 200 times since it first came out on video. It's one of my all-time favorite movies.
I especially love the end of the film, when John's client Mr. Kirkland, or whatever has "decided to find legal representation, elsewhere", over the speakerphone, especially with that other client that John is trying to work with it, overhearing the conversation.
All the times John dipped out of the office early and kept rescheduling an appointment with Kirkland (making stupid excuse after stupid excuse), to have sex with Cynthia.. probably loses his biggest client, and is the first step on his way down, from being a really powerful lawyer.
Such righteous cause-and-effect, there.
BRILLIANT writing.
"Is this a shifter car? I cannot drive a shifter car. What the FK is going on!?"
