Lawn Darts er Jarts, are def not the same as a trampoline.
With Lawn Darts, someone could make the stupid-ass mistake of looking away, or worse yet be a thrower of the Jarts, and get someone in the chest, back, or head. I loved them as a kid and never once did I think for a second how dangerous it was or could have been, but I was smart enough to stand away when others were throwing.
Trampolines, however, have become safer over the years with netting surrounding it. It's just the idiots who either push the boundaries and get a hole ripped by jumping beyond its recommended limits, or not looking where they're jumping and landing on the side instead of the middle where you should be.

I've got a set of Jarts. They can take them from me when they pry them from my cold dead hands.

Lawn darts are the same. If used properly, can be a lot of fun, but get stupid people doing stupid things, they are dangerous. So why did they ban yard darts? Your trampoline statements are totally interchangeable with many other things, including lawn darts. Why outlaw some things and not others?
