Bram Stoker started that legend.  And also, Dracula did survive in the daylight, in novel.<br />

<p dir="auto">One has nothing to do with the other.  Many believed that if a person who claimed themself to be a witch walked into a church they would be struck by lightning.  This has turned out not to be true.<br />
