During a seance to contact the ghost of Sarah Collins (Barnabas' younger sister), Victoria Winters is transported back in time to the year 1790 where she meets the Collins family of that era. Barnabas has not yet become a vampire until a spell has been cast on him by Angelique Bouchard. During her time in 1790, the residents of Collinsport think that Victoria is a witch and plan to hang her. The series ended with Victoria coming back to 1991 with the knowledge of Barnabas' vampirism.
