1.Why doesn't the killer in this movie ever possess the body of the cop while he is jumping from body to body?
2.I know that the killer somehow uses witchcraft to transfer his spirit into another body at the time of his death while in the gas chamber but how does he do it exactly?Because i have read the plot for this movie but have never seen it.Could someone on here explain it to me?

i believe that Satan granted him the 3rd power so he could jump from body to body since he was such a good little soldier in life ALSO it was easier to possess weaker people like junkies or alcoholics, normally a cop SHOULDN'T fall into that category. They mention this in the film right around the bag lady scene haha.
