I saw that Home Alone is only airing on HBO, which I do not get that channel unless I pay extra for that channel which I refuse to do. Instead I got Home Alone on Blu-ray and DVD from the library I volunteer at, Cedar Mill Community Library in the Cedar Mill neighborhood of NW Portland, Oregon, USA. I saw that Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is playing on AMC which I do get and recorded on my HD DVR on December 3, 2016 at 8:00PM PST. I saw that Home Alone 3 is playing on Freeform (formally ABCFamily) which I do get and recorded on my HD DVR on December 9, 2016 at 1:30PM PST. I saw that Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House is playing on TBS which I do get and recorded on my HD DVR on December 3, 2016 at 9:00AM PST. I saw that Home Alone: The Holiday Heist is playing on Disney Channel which I do get and recorded on my HD DVR on December 6, 2016 at 8:00PM PST. I am now watching Home Alone and am planing on watching the other four movies shortly after I get done watching Home Alone. I cannot wait.

Yeah they have the rights to air it for awhile.They usually sign contracts when they get movies on premium movie channels nowadays.They also have the rights to the original Miracle On 34th Street.Usually the movies on HBO go back in forth from HBO to Cinemax.The remake of Miracle On 34th Street is on Starz and will most likely end up on their Encore channels and Movieplex channel as well.

Usually only one channel buys rights to air a movie. If a channel is part of a larger group like Viacom or AMC then they'll cross air it over their networks.
