There's no shortage of good stories. Vietnam - Thornton and Norris, maybe a tragedy about KerreyMaybe just a simple narrative about an enlisted from Bud/s to Iraq/Afghanistan and back home.
I know they're making a movie based on Lone Survivor, but Luttrell's story seems so ready-made for Hollywood. I want something that's honest and not glamorized. Luttrell's book disgusted me at parts.

I forgot about that Jack Ryan spin-off novel, really good story, enjoyed the book. I think it could make a really good film.
Although a bit too much Jack Reacher but i am not sure anyone would notice, would be interesting being they are rebooting the Jack Ryan movies, although i think they could do those period and be fine.
may be hard to redo stuff like Red Rabbit in today's world.

I like to see a Without Remorse film although elements of the books might be familiar in other films such as American Gangster and even Death Wish.
Its that man again!!

I'm still waiting for a movie version of "Without Remorse". Wouldn't be a traditional "SEALs"-movie (more of a 70s/80s revenge-flick), but IIRC Kelly/Clark (the protagonist) was a SEAL.

Navy Seals is not exactly oscar material but it's great fun, if it was made these days it would be miles worse.
