No, it's not a great sequel, but it's not the worst one, either. I dug it almost as much as the original when I was a kid, so it's got to have some merit.

I dunno, I had semi-good memories of this movie from when I was a kid, but I am watching it now and it is irredeemable dreck. I can't stand it and I keep mutterly "lame" to myself. The original I can still enjoy, but this I would not give it a higher rating than 4.
