Some info and parts-lists for Black Death 3:
http://www.blackdeath3.com/BD3specs.html
http://raven28690.tripod.com/bd3.html
AFAIK, Mickey was involved in a company set up to produce replicas of the bike. The (now defunct) company was called "Black Death Motorcycles". Dunno what the connection is, but a company called "Carefree Customs" used to build/sell BD-replicas as well. Or maybe they were the ones who actually built the bikes for BD Motorcycles. Dunno.
If you're interested in building your own, check out "Deathrow Motorcycles" who still sell a lot of the custom parts you'd need to convert an FXR to a BD. I guess the most complicated part to manufacture (aside from modifying the frame to achieve that badass, raked-out look) would be the seatpan which also doubles as the rear fender.
Slight warning though: A friend of mine bought one of those "Carefree" bikes off ebay a couple of years back. I think you can still find the "for sale" videos for that bike on youtube. I rode that bike and it's not exactly what you'd call "comfortable". There's no suspension on the rear end and the seat is just a leather strip velcroed to the frame/seatpan.
Still a bitchin bike with perhaps the best overall look/style for a custom HD. At least IMO.
S.

From Wikipedia
The Motorcycle he rides in the movie is probably the second most famous movie bike in history besides the Captain America bike. It is known as black death 3. Gene Thomason, Dave Fournier, and Allan Barsi from Bartel's Harley Davidson built the bike from a drawing that Mickey had placed on a cocktail napkin. The original bike was a 1989 FXRS. It went under extensive work to transform it to the bike you see in the movie. Two bikes were built for the movie. One was Mickey's and the other was a stunt bike. Chuck Zito currently has Mickey's bike from the movie.

I saw an add in a motorcycle magazine for a company that makes replicas of the bike. Didn't see how much they cost though.

That bike was most certainly NOT a japanese conversionit was a custom built HD FXR. The official name of the bike is "Black Death" and you can search the internet. It was especially built for Mickey Rourke and this movie, and the letters on the playing cards painted on the fuel tank are the initials of Mickey's friends.

It's a custom built Chopper with an S&S stroker motor They built 3 of them because the first 2 had too much power to do the stunts with The first one they built is the first and last bike you see in the movie and also does all the burn-out scenes They gave that bike to Mickey The second was sold at auction The third was totaled filming a stunt (I belive)
