I remember watching this ages ago on tv and really liking it. I have now bought it on dvd and intend to watch it soon. Incidentally the story for this was written by Iran Levin, Who also wrote Rosemary's baby and Stepford Wives. I also have those two films along with all three books. I am a huge fan of hisHow about anyone else??

I'm guessing it doesn't get much love because it pales in comparison to the 1956 version and/or it's not a particularly good movie. That's not the way I personally feel about it, though. In my view, this is a thoroughly pleasing movie with some really fine performances. So yeah, I'm a fan.
