Is it just me or is she unlikeable in this movie? Danny really sacrificed a lot and was always giving his all to be with her. Sure, he had problems with his mother and he didn't want to see her hurt. But this did not excuse the behavior Theresa displayed to poor Danny and how angry she got. Each time he would try his best to mend the relationship, she would find a way out of it again while simultaneously hurting Danny. In the end, he made a huge leap in character by mending his situation with his mother and deciding to go to new york away from his comfortable job. It just seems.. rather cruel that he had to do all that work in the relationship, not to mention the time and money he spent, while she merely judged him harshly until the very end.

I didn't have a real issue with her until the scene where he calls his mom to make sure she got home okay and then Theresa flips out over it. That was over the top at that point.
Dick, I am VERY disappointed.

the character of Theresa is underdeveloped. She feels as trapped as Candy's character. She is bringing baggage to the relationship as well as he.

Yes, she was harsh. However, I doubt that without the challenge of her drawing the line so clearly, Danny would not be expected to change the trajectory of his life.
