<p dir="auto">this is an utterly winning film.<br />
The characters are likeable, complex, conflicted, and are doing the best they can.<br />
I think the title says it all.<br />
We are all lonely to a degree.<br />
Maureen O'Hara ..probably the loneliest character in the film and that is why she will not let go of her son. The theme of widowhood..gloriously and cleverly handled.<br />
it is obvious at least to me, that the filmmakers are doing a take on "Marty,"<br />
but with a wee bit more gusto and elan.</p>
