Actress Geraldine McEwan who played the Witch 'Mortianna' has sadly died. She was 82. I loved her performance in this movie among many others.

She was good. It was just over the top enough to rival Alan Rickman for joy in this film. She played pure evil. However she was good at it. She play a character that rivaled Alan Rickman for ego. That was an accomplishment in itself.

She was amazing as Mortianna.
A great performance at turns dramatic, spooky, twisted, and funny.
