I dug him. I loved that he was mysterious. Yes, very intimidating and a super bad ass. Wish they'd worked I'm No Angel into the soundtrack.

Actually no on the snitch part. Gregg Allman's character never snitched on anyone. In fact he NEVER even mentioned drugs nor admitted to having any drugs. As far as him in real life, that's something I know very little about other than he was the brother of a fellow band member in The Allman Bros. Band, he married Cher, and he was really hot lol

of course he was good, he played a drug dealer, a drug addict and ultimately a snitch.
In real life he was all three of those thingsactually quite a bit worse than the character he portrayed.

Well, being an Allman Bros fanatic during much of the 70s, I was very interested in seeing him in this movie - and I thought he did a good job, even though he didn't have much in the way of lines. When watching him, I forget about his musical career and see his character. He has presence - wonder why he didn't act more?

The only thing I knew about him before this movie was that he was Cher's ex. But hey, he pretty much stole every scene he was in for "Rush". He was excellent.

Butch is intelligent enough to act, I think, but I can't see a good role for him. Dickey would be a terror on set, but he would do great in a character role. Think Dennis Hopper from Easy Rider. I can see Dickey being the voice of wisdom in some southern film. I wish Billy Bob Thornton would make another movie like Sling Blade and throw one of Allman Brothers in it.

Gregg is a great actor. I've always wondered if Dickey Betts or Butch Trucks could have acted in movies too!!

I wish that there were more badass roles like this for Gregg Allman.

Really freaking awesome. I love that tracking shot when he leaves his office, locks the money in the safe, and walks through the bar.
